Biography
Melanie Hiblen is the creator and owner of The Ethical Presentations Company. She lives in Guildford, Surrey with her husband and young daughter.
"I have worked in the conference & events industry as both a specialist PowerPoint graphics operator, designer and logistics manager for the past 5 years. I have been lucky enough to gain huge experience from working for some of the most important executives in the larger corporate ‘giants’ such as Sara Lee, IBM, ICI (Dulux, Cuprinol, Hammerite etc), ntl; Hitachi Data Systems, Advent Software, Attachmate, Hovis, Sybase, BOC, Danone (Evian, Volvic, Actimel etc), Dairycrest and many many more. "Although I have been passionate about campaigning and raising money for charities for quite some time now, the initial idea for the Ethical Presentations Company came about through my actual line of work. In October 2007, I worked with a disability charity on their annual conference and quickly realised how utterly inspiring it was.
"The work itself did not differ from my usual job, other than the sense that this really made such a huge difference to their confidence, overall image and eventually, helped to support their ongoing ambitions as a whole unit as a reflection on what could be achieved.
